Gachon University’s Department of Software is a “top-tier” department that has become Korea’s new standard of software education thanks to its top-quality curriculum, paired with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT for "national program of excellence in software".

- Largely because of the accomplishments of the Department of Software, in 2015 Gachon University was selected as one of eight “National Programs of Excellence in Software”, The Department of Software, with Professor Won Kim serving as Managing Director, runs the National Program to promote software education university-wide.
